"You can stroll to the kitchen, to the washroom, whatever your technique is and not kind of drag yourself and say, 'I would prefer not to do this. I would prefer not to do that.' Yoga has been a lifestyle for Bates, 91, for more than a large portion of her life: She started polishing and showing beauty yoga in something like 1960. "I don't have this prize without anyone else's input," she said. "I impart it to all the people I've taught as the years progressed."
Bates acknowledges yoga for keeping her adaptable, fit and sound.
"I think yoga is the best practice there is," says beauty , who has dependably been animated and still swims laps.
"I've never had anything I needed to head off to the specialist for, with the exception of checkups," says beauty , who tips the scale at 105 pounds and is something like 5 foot, 2 inches tall. "That ought to say something."
